In the midst of the pandemic, The Flat Drum was created by Harvey Griffin with the help of his wife and kids. Harvey has always had a passion for cooking and feeding others, from growing up watching and helping his late mother, Evelyn, in the kitchen to cooking for his family. It’s safe to say that having a food truck/restaurant of his own has always been a dream of his. 

          So with with half the world being without work (including him) Harvey had nothing but time, leading to him experimenting and eventually perfecting what is now The Flat Drum’s 10 signature flavors which includes the most unique of all, Spicy Peanut Butter & Jelly. With these new perfected flavors, he created a menu, bought a few fryers and actually started the business out of his home! He began selling plates through a delivery service (which was really just his kids delivering the food lol) while still building The Flat Drums’s name and following. After all the hard work Harvey was able to get a food truck in July of 2021! 

           While The Flat Drum has already been running for a couple of years, there is still much much more to come! We thank you for your continued support and can’t wait to bring you all more access to us in the near future!
